Are you looking for some Christmas entertainment this year? If so, don’t miss Christmas at the Theater. Winder-Barrow Community Theatre is presenting two Christmas shows this year at the Winder Cultural Arts Center so mark your calendar for the shows.

Best Christmas Pageant Ever by Barbara Robinson is based on a much loved book by the same name. Come and learn the true story of Christmas and then attend a free reception to meet the cast. Show dates are Friday and Saturday, December 6th and 7th at 7:30 pm and on Sunday, December 8th at 3:00 pm. Tickets are now on sale at the City of Winder Customer Care Center (770-867-3106 Event ticket Sales) and also at Pam Veader’s State Farm Insurance office at 41 S. Center Street in Winder (770-867-1679). Prices are $5 for children to age 12. Ages 13 and older are $10. Tickets can also be purchased at the door for the same price. This show is suitable for the entire family.

Part of the proceeds of this show will be donated to the Barrow County Family Connection in order to provide Christmas presents for local children.

Dashing Through the Snow by Jones, Hope & Wooten is a Southern Comedy where you will again meet the Futrelle sisters that you last saw in Dearly Beloved in the spring. Show dates are Thursday and Friday, December 19th and 20th at 7:30 pm and Sunday, December 22nd at 3:00 pm. There is no Saturday show. Tickets are only $10 for everybody in advance and at the door. They are now available at both ticket locations. This show is suitable for teens and adults.

All of the profit from this special presentation will be donated to the Barrow County Food2Kids Program through the Northeast Georgia Food Bank. Children who would go hungry on the weekends are given a bag of child friendly food each Friday when they leave school. Over 150 children in Barrow County are currently being served by this program, and there are more on a waiting list. The annual goal of $39,000 has been set so come and help us contribute to this program. If you would like to sponsor a child, there will be forms available at the theater for your tax deductible donation.
