Auditions Announced for "Stalag 17"

Calling all men. Winder-Barrow Community Theatre is excited to announce that auditions for the 2nd Main Stage production of Winder-Barrow Community Theatre are coming up soon. “Stalag 17” will be the next show for WBCT, and a cast of all males will be needed. Men ages 16 and up are needed for this military drama. Auditions will be held on Monday, March 17th and Tuesday, March 18th at 6:30 pm at the Winder Cultural Arts Center.

This play by Donald Bevan & Edmund Trzcinski will be performed May 30-June 1st and June 6-8, 2014. Part of the proceeds will be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project to support disabled veterans. The play tells the story of a group of American prisoners who embarrass and irritate their captors as they try to escape from a German prison camp. The plot revolves around the escape of an American who will face serious punishment for sabotaging a train as will his fellow prisoners who hide him. The prisoners at last learn which of them has been a stooge for the Germans.

All of you men come out and join the fun of an all male cast. The show will be directed by Don Wildsmith and Tery Overbey. Rehearsal dates are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday nights during the rehearsal weeks. There is no preparation necessary for the audition, but please bring a list of any schedule conflicts you might have between March 18th and June 8th. Please bring a photo if possible.
